I’m beginning to set up practices and procedures to help me in the long term along my journey to becoming a professional app developer.
Recently, I have been considering whether continuous integration and continuous deployment practices would be useful to set up, even at my early stage.
While I have been actively using both of these practices in my day job for the past two years, I decided that a detailed analysis would give me a better idea of how and why I should use them.
After, much thought, I think that while continuous deployment maybe too much for me to set up, continuous integration is something that would make my code more robust and improve the quality of my releases.
So in the future, I will be writing more unit tests to make the step towards CI less of a hurdle.
